Frequently Asked Questions

Why is Gokarna significant for Naga Bali and Narayan Bali?
Gokarna is a sacred Siddhi and Mukthi Kshetra. As an 'Atmalinga Kshetra' located at the holy Kotiteertha, it is believed that any ritual performed here yields immediate spiritual results (Siddhi) and provides ultimate liberation (Mukthi) to the souls of ancestors.
What is the best time to perform these rituals?
The timing depends on the specific characteristics of each pooja. For example, Narayana Bali is ideally performed during Krishna Paksha or close to Amavasya. Other rituals may require specific Nakshatras like Ashlesha or particular Tithis. We provide a precise Muhurta based on birth details and the nature of the ritual.
How many days should I plan to stay in Gokarna?
While most major rituals like Sarpa Sanskara and Naga Pratishte take 2 to 3 days to complete, Narayana Bali can be completed in only 1 day. We recommend checking the specific requirements for your ritual to plan your stay accordingly.
Are these rituals performed individually or in groups?
Each ritual is performed individually for you or your specific family members to ensure the Sankalpa is focused and accurate. We prioritize the sanctity of your specific family Vidhi.
Do you provide assistance with accommodation?
Yes, we can suggest comfortable rooms near Kotiteertha so you can reach the ritual site easily in the early morning. This is especially helpful for those traveling from distant cities.
What is the dress code for the rituals?
Traditional attire is mandatory. Men require a new white Dhoti and Shalya, and women must wear a new saree.
Can we perform these rituals without being physically present?
No. For Narayana Bali, Naga-related poojas, and all ancestral rites, physical presence is mandatory. These rituals cannot be performed in absentia as the devotee's direct participation is required for the Vidhi.
What should I carry for the ritual?
Please carry your new clothes (Dhoti/Shalya or Saree) for the ritual. We provide all necessary Pooja Samagri (ritual materials) ourselves.
Is there a specific diet to follow before the pooja?
It is recommended to maintain a sattvic (vegetarian) diet at least 24 hours before the ritual.
How far in advance should I book the service?
To ensure a proper Muhurta and logistics, we recommend booking at least 1-2 weeks in advance, especially during auspicious months or holidays.
